About Me

Hi, my name is Tori and I'm the owner & creator of The Creative Farmwife.

For as long as I can remember, I have always been creative in some way, shape or form, and my creative interests have always been varied.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to have creative and inspiring people in my life. Some of my earliest memories are of sitting on my Grandma’s kitchen bench, baking beside her — a regular occurrence that often ended in a cheeky argument with my Pa over who got to lick the bowl and who claimed the beater. I was also fortunate to have a Nanny who was a talented bridal seamstress. Her sewing machine now sits proudly in my sewing room, alongside a framed newspaper article celebrating her dressmaking skills — I like to think a little of their creativity rubbed off on me.

My first sewing project was a floor rug for my first bub before she arrived. It didn't take long before I was tackling a range of sewing projects, constructing my own patterns and purchasing more sewing machines.

My first taste of creating with our produce came when I moved to my husband’s family farm near Rylstone, NSW. With plenty of fruit trees on and around the farm, I took the opportunity to turn the seasonal harvest into jams and chutneys. To my surprise, people actually liked them — and just like that, the creative bug was caught. Fast forward to today, and life is beautifully chaotic. Between raising three kids, tending veggie gardens and orchards, caring for animals and cattle, juggling primary school and P&C commitments, being part of a third-generation family beekeeping business, and now running my own little business, it’s safe to say we’re flat out… but absolutely loving it.

The Creative Farmwife (previously Covered In Honey Creations) was born as an outlet for my ever-growing list of crafty ideas and creative projects. I’m passionate about creating a diverse range of small-batch, handmade products, all made right here on our family farm in the beautiful Central West NSW. Nothing is mass-produced — some pieces are unique one-off creations, while others are seasonal favourites that come and go with the year. My sewing and embroidered pieces tend to lean towards a country-style theme, though there’s always the occasional exception if I stumble across a design I simply can’t resist. At this stage, I’m not taking custom orders, though that may change in the future.

I hope you find something that compliments your home or pantry while receiving a little piece of my creative love all the way from Rylstone NSW.
